About Paul
Life has a fascinating way of shaping us through its challenges. Growing up as an only child in a single-parent household, I often felt like I was navigating the world alone. In my youth, I faced bullying and the weight of racial discrimination. Layer that with an extraordinary upbringing, raised in a new age movement - an identity crisis between a fantastical world and normal life; only to later realise I needed to let go of someone else’s purpose, dreams, and desires to truly find my own. At times, it felt like I was on the outside looking in, searching for belonging, for direction.
But life isn’t just a series of struggles; it’s also about the connections we make along the way. I was fortunate to have mentors - people who saw something in me that I couldn’t yet see in myself. Their belief helped me forge my own path, and through them, I learned that setbacks aren’t roadblocks; they’re stepping stones. Like Steve Jobs said, sometimes we can only connect the dots when we look back. What once seemed like a series of major struggles, eventually came together to build something more meaningful.
That understanding is at the heart of my coaching. I know what it’s like to feel stuck, to question where you're heading, to wonder if change is really possible. And I also know the power of having someone walk alongside you; not to hand you all the answers, but to help you see the possibilities within yourself.
Coaching, for me is about helping us understand who we truly are (becoming more self-aware) and what we have to offer the world. It’s about taking the courage to explore new avenues - new space. A place where you can pause for a moment, reflect, and take some key steps forward that results in something truly transformational. Because no matter where you’ve been or what you’ve faced, your story isn’t finished yet!
